Minden, LA (February 25, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Monday morning, February 23, in Minden left one driver dead and three passengers hurt. The collision occurred on Fire Tower Road near the intersection with LA Highway 160 when a 1995 Toyota Tercel traveling south entered the crossing and was struck by a 2019 Mack Pinnacle, which was heading westbound.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as Tristan Young, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. A front-seat passenger was ejected and taken to a hospital with severe injuries. Another passenger suffered moderate injuries and was also hospitalized.
Authorities said the truck driver was not reported among the injured. Impairment is not suspected, though routine toxicology samples were collected. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
