Do I Have to Physically Visit a Louisiana Personal Injury Law Firm After a Car Accident?

Get To Know The Get Rude® Team

Video Summary

Rudin Law operates as a virtual firm, allowing it to represent personal injury clients throughout Louisiana without requiring physical office visits. While the firm values personal connection and maintains physical offices in the New Orleans area, it recognizes that travel from cities like Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, or Shreveport can be difficult. Consequently, clients can handle every aspect of their case remotely, including hiring the firm, signing contracts, submitting documents, and receiving settlement funds electronically. The firm accommodates various communication preferences, offering contact via phone, video conferencing, email, fax, or traditional mail services like FedEx and UPS for those who prefer physical documents. Ultimately, visiting the office is optional; clients can schedule in-person meetings if they wish, but it is not required.

“Can a car accident attorney take my case in Louisiana if I don’t go to their actual law office to meet in person? The legal business, especially the personal injury business, is a people business. I love that part of what we do. I love getting to help people. I love meeting people, talking to my clients, shaking their hands, and giving them hugs. I love it. But that’s not always so easy. Louisiana’s a big state. Uh, we’re in the New Orleans area, but if you’re in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, or up in Shreveport, it’s not always so easy to just get in a car and see a lawyer, especially if you have to see a lawyer a couple of times. In this world of video conferencing and digital contract signing, we can do a ton without ever seeing our client, meeting our client, or being in the same room. I have clients that I’ve never seen in person. We may have seen each other on video, seen photos, and talked on the phone, but if they don’t want to come here, I’m okay with that. I want to do what’s good for the client, what’s convenient for them. For example, you decide you want to hire Rudin Law. We will send you a contract electronically. You can e-sign it. When your case is resolved, we can send you your money electronically. You can sign the releases and the settlement statements electronically. If you don’t want to do that, we can mail things to you. We can use FedEx, UPS, or the postal service with return envelopes. So you don’t have to scan things back to us, but you can, if you want. We can send you the documents. You can sign them. You could take a picture. You could send them back. When we ask for things, you can send pictures again by fax or email. We are a virtual firm, meaning we can do everything remotely. We have offices, but you don’t ever have to come here. And if you want to talk to us, we’re available by phone. We’re available by video in a variety of different means, different methods, and you could always schedule a time to come see us in person, but you don’t have to”.
