Vacherie, LA (March 9, 2026) – Several people were injured on Saturday night, March 7, after a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 3213 in the Vacherie area, just south of the St. John Parish line.
Emergency units from the St. James Volunteer Fire Department responded around 9:38 p.m. after reports that both vehicles involved were on fire. Crews from St. John Westside Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames while personnel assessed all occupants. Multiple Acadian Ambulance units established a triage area to provide medical care to those injured. The number and severity of injuries have not been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
